MUST HAVE:
- 4-6 years of experience in linear TV estimates and audience analytics with a strong background in measurement and alternate currencies.
About the role:
You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and analyzing ratings estimates across 3 major linear cable brands. Your work will directly impact quarterly liability projections, financial budgets, and goals for both programming and marketing. We are looking for someone who is experienced with linear analytics and stewardship, who has a good grasp of the media landscape, and can prioritize efficiency and accuracy in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Manage internal C3 stewardship estimates and track actuals across multiple currencies (Nielsen Panel, Nielsen Big Data, Video Amp, etc.). Assess seasonal fluctuations alongside future programming grids to inform changes to the internal numbers for Sales.
- Meet weekly with P&I and Programming to discuss stewardship pacing and changes to the estimates, leading a dialogue around programming strategy and potential action plans to drive viewer growth.
- Develop internal tools in Excel / Tableau to help streamline the estimates process across multiple currencies.
- Manage programming trackers for major original series and tentpoles that assess viewer composition and commercial playback, alongside performance trends by currency.
- Gather intelligence on potential programming acquisitions and create ratings estimates for them across multiple dayparts within the next 2-3 years for financial ROI analysis.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on the linear space, competing and emerging currencies, as well as competitive factors that impact network performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Between 4-6 years of experience in linear TV estimates and audience analytics with a strong background in measurement and alternate currencies.
- Demonstrated success in assessing programming grids and rollouts to provide actionable recommendations that will improve audience delivery.
- Knowledge of the evolving media landscape and audience trends by platform.
- Proficiency in the use of Npower & StarTrack for linear analysis.
- Experience with complex Excel formulas (VLOOKUP, match/index, sum product, forecast, etc.) and pivot tables (including the use of calculated fields).
- Experience with time-series analysis and ratings forecasting.
- Experience in developing Excel/Tableau dashboards and data stories in PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
